The strike action is set to continue causing ongoing disruption for all and pain for small businesses. There will be further strikes on Friday the 6th and Monday the 9th November no doubt adding to the 60 million items already backed up. 85,000 people rushed to apply for the 30,000 temporary staff Royal mail have hired to help with the back log. However, this is in Jeopardy as the lawyers working for the CWU are arguing that this is illegal.
Despite all of this we are sending out our latest catalogue this week as many of our customers prefer to order by mail order and we have lots of fabulous new fabrics we want to tell you about. We have to continue on and because Royal Mail have a stranglehold on the last postal mile we are totally are dependant on them. We have to have faith that your catalogue will get to you, and for those of you who prefer to order by post, that your order will get back to us with only a small delay.
As we mentioned in the last news article there will be no issues with your fabrics getting to you, as once we have your order either via the internet, by phone or by post we are using couriers to deliver your parcel to you.
