chenille-slub-furnishing-dusty-blue-fire-retardant-upholstery-fabric
Chenille Slub Furnishing - Dusty Blue

Richly textured, beautifully soft and built for serious furnishing projects, this heavyweight chenille upholstery fabric is a rather lovely find. In a sophisticated dusty blue with smoky teal undertones, the surface features an irregular slub texture that creates fine, broken lines across the cloth, giving it depth and a wonderfully tactile finish. Made from polyester chenille, it has a soft, almost velvety pile with a subtle sheen that changes as the light catches it. At a substantial 560gsm, this is a proper heavyweight furnishing fabric, offering a reassuringly robust feel without losing that inviting softness.

What makes this one particularly appealing is its combination of good looks and practicality. With a 40,000 Martindale rub count, it is well suited to upholstery projects where durability matters, including sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, footstools, benches and upholstered headboards. It would also make gorgeous scatter cushions and substantial curtains, bringing texture and a touch of understated luxury to any room. This fire retardant polyester furnishing fabric is also British designer deadstock, giving you the opportunity to get your hands on a quality upholstery cloth from a limited supply. Beautifully suited to contemporary interiors, coastal-inspired schemes and traditional homes alike, it's a fabric that looks every bit as good as it feels.

Martindale abrasion rating - 40,000 rubs

Approx width:

146cm | 57"

Composition:

100% Polyester

Construction:

Woven

Washing instructions:

Professional upholstery cleaning recommended

What can I make with this:

Sofas, Armchairs, Dining Chair Upholstery, Cushions, Headboards, Footstools, Curtains and Soft Furnishings

Approx.
