The check is made up of many different checks and has lots of lovely, it has to be said, autumnal colours. A dark blue, damson, mustard, dark green, beige with no colour particularly predominant. In old fashioned money it is probably around an 8 ounce cloth, which sort of puts it in the gentleman’s suiting, sort of weight category. My trouser-making friend knows that the Japanese would die for this cloth, to make golf attire from. It doesn’t get much better.
