A160cm wide tailor's lining fabric of a quality of a bygone era and you don’t have to use this as a lining. In a brown twill weave with fine vertical stripe relief
This cloth was described to me as a taffeta; I had no reason to argue with that until the cloth arrived. It is certainly not a straight forward taffeta, it appears to be made of viscose which gives much more body than the usual taffeta and enables the cloth to have a reasonable amount of weight and quite a bit of character. This will help with any draping you need of the cloth.
It has come from a tailor and I believe it was a lining for expensive suits.
