In the days when men wore tights and bloomers they played the ancient game of cord wrangling, and for this they had to wear the finest cloths of their day. Which, over time became one of the best cloths ever made, and that is corduroy.
I have before me a bonny little parcel of such cloth and this one is 145cm wide extremely soft, extremely fine cotton needle cord shirting a fairly pale straw colour.
