Description
The Martha dress reimagines the fit-and-flare style for the modern era. Highlighting a high neck band, figure-flattering princess seams, and a bias-cut flared skirt, it secures elegantly with an invisible zip at the back. Customize with short or bell sleeves and knee-length or mini hemline. Perfect for playful twirls!
Martha effortlessly transitions from work to leisure, pairing effortlessly with sunglasses and wedges during Summer, or knitted tights and boots in the Winter.
As with all Tilly and the Buttons sewing patterns, Martha includes user-friendly instructions paired with illustrative photos for each step. Seamlessly create stunning attire you'll proudly claim as your own handcrafted masterpiece.
Recommended fabric
Light to medium weight fabrics such as viscose (rayon), silk or polyester crêpe de chine, cotton lawn, chambray, broderie anglaise, double knit with little stretch, lighter weight wool. Avoid directional prints as the skirt is cut on the bias (at an angle). You could even add a lace trim to the bodice or piping the princess seams for a personalised touch.
