Description
The TN34 is a relaxed and versatile interpretation of the classic fishtail parka. Lined or unlined with a hood or ribbing, it can work for all seasons. This is a unisex pattern.
Recommended fabric
Fabric suggestions - Dry Oilskin, Oilskin (lined version only), tweed, woollens, cotton drill, cotton canvas, waterproofed cotton and linens.
For the lining we would recommend using a barrier lining if you are making the oilskin version. Other lining options: brushed cotton, cotton poplin. The lining choice has to be substantial enough to accommodate buttonholes - this garment was designed for oilskin so the lining prevents oilskin touching the clothing.
For the ribbing neckline, we have used rib that stretches by half again, ie. 10cm piece stretches to 15cm.
Notions
Matching thread.
Buttons - 6 (7 is making the version with the hood) x approximately 20MM/3/4".
3.2M/3 1/2 YD cord for version without hood.
4.4M/5YD cord for version with hood.
12CM/6" ribbing for version without hood.
1.2M/1 1/2YD interfacing (not for oilskin)
