Cotton Voile & Muslin
Cotton voile is a lightweight, plain weave dressmaking fabric with a distinctly higher thread count than most cotton fabrics resulting in a softer hand that can be as luxurious as silk. This gauze-like semi-sheer cloth is suitable for classic lingerie or curtain designs, but will most likely require a lining in some dressmaking projects such and dresses, skirts and blouses.
Muslin is an open weave cloth that has been used for dressmaking, upholstery, and craft projects for years and years. This gentle dressmaking fabric is made with cotton fibers, featuring a looser weave and high thread count to create a soft, flexible and breathable cloth. It is the perfect fabric for those with more sensitive skin; such as babies, children and new mums. Create fabulous swaddle blankets, pajamas and comforters with these child friendly fabrics.
