Embroidered Taffeta - Samira

Not your everyday fabric, this one’s got a bit of drama about it. A black crinkle base gives it texture and movement, while that bold embroidered floral border in red and gold does all the talking. The scalloped edge finishes it properly, so you’ve already got a ready-made hem detail without lifting a finger.

This is the sort of cloth you build a design around rather than squeeze into one. Think floaty kimono-style jackets, statement hems on dresses or skirts, or even a simple shape that lets that border do its job. You could also use the edge detail for trims, panels, or placement pieces if you’re feeling a bit more inventive. It’s lightweight with structure, so it holds shape without feeling heavy, and there’s no stretch to complicate things.
