Description

The Aulio sewing pattern offers two effortlessly stylish options: casual shorts and classic wide-leg trousers. Both designs feature a high elasticated waist with a cord casing for a comfortable, adjustable fit. These timeless pieces are quick and easy to sew, making them a great choice for beginners or as a first trouser pattern. Designed for long-lasting comfort, they’ll become a staple in any handmade wardrobe.

Recommended Fabric

For both variations, select a light- to medium-weight fabric, ideally with some drape for the best fit and movement. Recommended fabrics include viscose challis, crepe, cotton lawn, and washed linen. You can use ready-made cord for the drawstring or sew your own using the included instructions in the pattern.

Fabric Requirements

The fabric requirements allow for a 5% shrinkage margin. Keep in mind that you may need extra fabric if working with patterned designs or fabrics that require single-direction cutting.

Shorts: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 80 - 130 cm (7/8 - 1 3/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 115 - 175 cm (1 1/4 - 1 7/8 yd).

Trousers: 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 210 - 260 cm (2 1/4 - 2 7/8 yd) // 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 250 - 260 cm (2 3/4 - 2 7/8 yd).

• 30 cm (1/4 yd) of fusible interfacing
• 2 cm (3/4") elastic, your waist measurement
• Optional: cord for drawstring, your waist measurement + 80 cm (32"). You can buy ready-made cord for the drawstring, or sew a cord from your fabric.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 - 2nd Class Delivery: This is our standard Royal Mail service. Delivery is typically estimated at 2–3 working days from dispatch, although times can vary.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 - 1st Class Delivery: A faster Royal Mail option, typically estimated at 1–2 working days from dispatch. Please note that this is not a guaranteed next day service.
Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.

We process orders Monday to Friday, so weekend orders begin processing the following Monday.
