Just a little element of cold war Europe, in this cloth – the spy who came in from the cold – a generally cold unwelcoming place and some of the men who skulked for both sides wore dark coats some made of very heavy cloth and others not so heavy – this particular one is quite heavy, fairly thick and comes in a black with a wispy grey marled surface which on further inspection turns out only to be a panel about 12cm wide we then have a plain black twill weave wool coating for a metre and a bit, before we have another mottled wool panel of 10cm. Pick their bones out of that if you will? Quite heavy and substantial cloth to boot.
