A 147cm shirting that blends 55% bamboo with 45% linen for a luxurious, soft and silky feel. It's woven in India and stocked in a range of colours.

The bamboo content is what gives it that soft, silky handle. It's lightweight with a slight transparency, and it creases naturally because of the weight of the cloth. Ideal for shirts, blouses and loose, lightweight trousers. Bamboo is a sustainable resource too: it grows quickly, needs very little water, and regenerates without replanting.

Patterns we would pick

Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.

Test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash it. We can't accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.

Beautiful fabric, I chose lemon and it isn’t too bright. It has a lovely feel and is very light weight. I’m using McCalls 7727, I think it will make a lovely floaty dress.
