Jasmine - Silk Double Georgette

Typically used as an overlay in bridal, christening, prom and special occasion wear, this ethereal silk double georgette fabric from Bennet Silks has incredible versatility and poise. Made from 100% silk this slightly thicker double georgette is only slightly translucent and is suitable for wearing in all climates.

This elegant bleached white silk georgette is light to mid weight with a slightly grainy texture that has a delightful spring to it. The matte crepe texture of this cloth creates a refined elegance suitable for evening wear, blouses and scarves.

140cm wide and weighing approximately 80gsm this silk fabric hangs beautifully, not quite as sheer as its chiffon counterpart but far more drapey and noticeably heavier. For best results, dry clean or hand wash very cool and really carefully with delicate washing detergent and without twisting.

• Please allow up to 10% shrinkage for all fabrics to be on the safe side. For all fabrics wash before making up in the same manner as would with subsequent washes (including drying methods).
• If you are in any doubt about care instructions please always test a sample first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
