Description
A wonderfully unusual cotton canvas with an intricate, tapestry-inspired design that has a distinctly historic, almost heraldic character. Set against a soft cream background, the pattern brings together rich blue and red detailing with curious, curling grey shapes reminiscent of octopus tentacles, weaving their way through the design. There is something rather intriguing about the combination, with its ornamental motifs and elaborate flourishes giving the cloth the appearance of an antique tapestry or a beautifully illustrated piece of decorative art.
Measuring 150cm wide, this is a fantastic fabric for projects where you want the print to do the talking. It would make a particularly striking jacket, waistcoat, structured skirt or pinafore, while the tapestry-like design also lends itself beautifully to cushions, Roman blinds, tote bags and decorative home accessories. The combination of cream, blue, red and grey offers plenty of possibilities for coordinating with both traditional and more eclectic interiors, especially alongside dark woods, natural linens and rich upholstery fabrics. Full of personality and rather different from your everyday printed cotton, this is a superb cloth for creating something with a little history, imagination and character.

Care & washing
Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
