Care & washing
Poly-cotton is forgiving, which is most of why this fabric suits things that get worn hard. Wash it before you cut: allow 2 to 10% shrinkage on the first wash, and launder the whole piece the way you intend to wash the finished make, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
A warm wash and a cool iron is all it asks for. The polyester in the blend keeps the check crisp and resists creasing, so it comes out of the machine close to ready. Wash colours separately for the first couple of washes — the deeper reds and navies can give up a little dye.
