Description
Traditional checks get a little lift with this lightweight shirting. Woven in organic cotton and recycled polyester, the cream ground is crossed with neat lines of navy blue, warm brown and soft grey, creating a small-scale country check that feels classic without looking stuffy. Look more closely and the weave has a gently puckered texture, breaking up the surface and giving the cloth considerably more character than a standard flat shirting.
At just 93gsm, it is light, comfortable and easy to wear, with a softly structured drape that would work beautifully for shirts, blouses, shirt dresses, pyjamas and lightweight summer separates. There's no stretch, but the textured weave stops it feeling overly crisp or formal. Country shirt territory, certainly, but thankfully without requiring a tractor.
