The creamy ivory base is broken up with little flashes of rich blue, soft grey and the occasional warm fleck of coral and gold. Look closely and there is an enormous amount going on in the weave, including a subtle metallic glimmer that catches the light without making the fabric look overtly sparkly.
At 479gsm, this has the substance for proper statement pieces, with a softly structured handle that will hold the shape of jackets, coats and skirts beautifully. We'd love it as a boxy collarless jacket, a smart little coat, structured skirt, waistcoat or even a matching two-piece. The pale colouring keeps it fresh and wearable while all those different yarns give it the expensive, intricately woven look that makes even a fairly simple sewing pattern appear rather special.
