Black cotton drill is one of those fabrics that quietly gets on with the job. Woven with a classic twill construction, it has a smooth finish, good structure and the durability you'd expect from a hardworking cotton cloth. This particular black drill has enough body for trousers and utility-style garments whilst remaining comfortable to wear.

A reliable choice for everything from workwear-inspired jackets and overshirts to dungarees, skirts, aprons and bags. The deep black colour gives it a smart, versatile look that works just as well for everyday wardrobe staples as it does for practical sewing projects. As with many dark cotton fabrics, some surface dye transfer may occur before the first wash.

Please note: We recommend pre-washing before cutting out as some shrinkage may occur. Darkly dyed fabrics may also release excess dye during initial washes.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
• Please test a sample area first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on your screen are accurate because every screen shows colours differently.
