Some fabrics have a very specific purpose. This isn't one of them. Lightweight, soft and surprisingly useful, this cotton and polyester blend cloth is the sort of fabric that quietly earns its place in the sewing room. With a fine, muslin-like handle and featherlight weight, it works brilliantly wherever a little extra fabric is needed without adding bulk. Keep a few metres tucked away and you'll likely find yourself reaching for it more often than expected.

Soft, easy to sew and excellent value, it's the sort of cloth that solves problems before you even know you have them.

• Please allow 2-10% shrinkage on fabrics to be on the safe side. Wash before making up in the same manner as you would with subsequent washes (including drying methods)
