Description
Soft lilac, lavender and violet pansies bring a wonderfully gentle feel to this beautiful 100% cotton furnishing fabric from Designers Guild. The flowers are arranged in elegant vertical columns, surrounded by delicate sprays of tiny purple blooms and fine charcoal-coloured foliage. Between them, slender lilac pinstripes run down a pale ivory background, giving the design a lovely sense of height without making it feel too busy. Originally part of the Designers Guild Country collection, this is a substantial woven cotton at 220gsm, with a smooth printed surface and a lovely firm handle.
There's something rather timeless about this colourway, with its soft purple tones and traditional floral detailing. We can see it looking gorgeous as full-length curtains in a bedroom, a pretty Roman blind, or cushions paired with plain lilac, cream or soft grey furnishings. The vertical design is particularly effective for window dressings, while the weight also lends itself beautifully to loose covers and decorative upholstery. Original Designers Guild fabric acquired through a limited deadstock clearance.

Care & washing
Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
