Description
This black wool-cashmere coating is a soft, warm, and reliable cloth with a smooth finish that feels spot-on for proper winter sewing. Made from 90% wool and 10% cashmere, it has a gentle, luxurious handle without being overly delicate. The cashmere adds warmth and softness, while the wool keeps it sturdy enough for everyday wear.
At 425gsm and 158cm wide, it’s a good, solid coating weight with a tidy drape that’ll work well for long coats, shorter jackets, wraps, and unstructured styles. The dyed black colour gives it a clean, classic look that won’t date and pairs easily with everything. A dependable choice if you want warmth, comfort, and a smart finish.

Allow 2-10% shrinkage to be on the safe side. Wash the fabric before making up, in the same way you'll wash the finished make, drying methods included, so it settles once rather than after it's sewn.
