Description
Snake print on a firm, comfortable knit makes a practical choice for everyday dressmaking, and this ponte roma pairs it with an olive colourway. At 240gsm it's a medium weight jersey with a smooth, stable body and a soft handle. It's 150cm wide, so there's plenty to play with when you're laying out pattern pieces.
Ponte roma sits somewhere between a jersey and a woven, which is what makes it so useful. It has some natural give for comfort but holds its shape well, so it doesn't cling or sag the way a lighter jersey can, and it handles more like a structured cloth on the machine. The polyester keeps it resilient while the viscose adds a little drape and softness against the skin.
