135cm wide luxurious 100% silk crepe de chine in grey, woven at 16 momme (70gsm) for the perfect balance of lightness and durability. With its soft matte surface, fluid drape, and subtle lustre, this fabric feels effortless to wear yet holds its shape beautifully.

Crepe de chine is one of the most versatile silk bases for day-to-evening wear. Effortlessly elegant yet practical, it has a lightweight drape that’s strengthened by its matte, slightly textured surface. Perfect for achieving a relaxed, modern look with wide-leg trousers and fluid shirts, or for a more romantic style with fluted sleeves, ruffles, and soft gathers.

For best results, dry clean or hand wash very cool and really carefully with delicate washing detergent and without twisting.

Sewing tips:

• Use a fine Microtex/sharp needle (size 60/8 or 70/10) for the cleanest stitch.

Best linings:

• For breathability and lightness: silk habotai or cotton lawn.
• For a more structured drape: silk satin or cupro/bemberg lining.
• For dresses: choose a lining close in weight to avoid bulk but still give support.

Returns Policy On This Fabric

Due to the delicate nature and expense of these silk fabrics that have been prepared bespokely for your order, for example, a 'cut length' specified by you, they will be subject to a 50% charge. We, therefore, advise you order a sample first to make sure you are happy with the fabric before you order the length you require.

• Please allow up to 10% shrinkage for all fabrics to be on the safe side. For all fabrics wash before making up in the same manner as would with subsequent washes (including drying methods).
• If you are in any doubt about care instructions please always test a sample first to find the most suitable way to wash your chosen fabrics, as we cannot accept liability for fabrics washed or treated incorrectly.
• Whilst every effort is made, we cannot guarantee that the colours you see on our screen are accurate because every screen is calibrated differently and settings are set differently.
• All sizes and measurement for fabrics washed or treated are approximate.

Courier Delivery: We offer a courier service via Parcelforce for customers requiring a faster delivery option. We aim to dispatch eligible orders placed before 1pm on the same working day, but this cannot be guaranteed. Courier delivery is generally expected on the next working day following dispatch. Orders placed on Friday may not be collected until the following Monday. This service is tracked.
