Description
A true, inky black with no brown or blue cast, this 150cm wide woven has a fine ripple running down its length, a soft crinkled rib you notice more by touch than by eye. At 110gsm it's light and fluid, with a silky smooth handle and a liquid drape that falls straight from the shoulder rather than standing away from the body.
The blend of 47% rayon, 36% Tencel and 17% nylon gives you the cool, slippery feel of the cellulose fibres with a touch of nylon for resilience. In black the ripple becomes a play of light and shadow, so a plain dress looks interesting without any print to help it. The texture is meant to be there, so don't chase it flat with a hot iron: keep the iron on low, wash at 30° and skip the tumble dryer. It's a woven with no stretch, so cut with a little ease and let the drape do the work.
